We are proud to offer a professional, top-notch editing service for all Ivy League application essays. Our editors are all Ivy League graduates with extensive experience in our respective fields. We've served on admissions committees and have a firm grasp on the level of writingtalent that is expected for each professional program.

Our editors provide the following services:

1. Evaluation of your essay's content. We improve the coherency of your essay to demonstrate your unique characteristics and potential for success. We edit your work to give the admissions committee a multi-dimensional perspective of your achievements and personality. We ensure that the content of your essay improves your chances of admission by emphasizing the attributes coveted by your specific school. We focus each essay to directly answer the question and to flow naturally in an easily-readable style.

2. Providing your essay with a compelling, memorable voice. Admissions officers frequently read over 50 essays per day, many of which sound exactly alike. With over 100 qualified candidates for every seat in the class, you must capture their attention from the very first word you write. Your essays must be memorable narratives with vivid, compelling language and a strong voice. We ensure that your introduction immediately engages the reader and provides a good first impression. We will ensure that your content provides details of your life that are not contained elsewhere in your application. We also edit your conclusion to establish a sense of closure and balance in your essay.

3. Capturing the optimal tone for the essay. Great editing strengthens your voice and presents the best possible aspects of your personality. Our editors will enhance your natural writing style to reflect the confidence and charisma of a successful Ivy League applicant. We ensure that your tone is positive without being boastful, and that you are perceived as confident rather than arrogant.

4. Improving the essay's structure, flow and readability. Great essays are flawless and on topic. We restructure awkward sentences and omit any unnecessary words, phrases, sentences or paragraphs. We also ensure that your essay is cohesive and leads the reader to a strong conclusion. We vary your sentence structure and insert appropriate transitions to improve the logical flow of your writing. We verify that your paragraphs signal natural breaks in your thought process and that each is cohesive in its own right. We clarify topic sentences and emphasize supporting details.

5. Editing all grammatical and mechanical mistakes. We will correct all grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, run-on sentences and fragments. We also correct word choice errors, catching subtle mistakes like improper use of prepositions and pronouns.

6. Coordination of multiple essays. Some programs require applicants to write several essays on a variety of topics. We ensure that each essay presents a different but consistent image of your personality and strengths. A well-coordinated essay set has a synergistic effect on the admissions committee: it provides a 360-degree view of the candidate on both a professional and personal level.

7. Comparison to other applicants. Along with our editing services, we will also offer our critical perspective of your essay and compare it to others we have evaluated. We will provide advice to make your essays personal, enlightening and memorable for the reader. We will also suggest further content improvements and rate the essay’s overall effectiveness. Our goal is to make you stand out from the crowd and pass that all-important final cut!
